I just ran across speculation that Barack Obama could pick Claire McCaskill for his running mate. As a Missourian, I just want to go on record as saying, “PLEASE GOD NO.” Not that it would make much difference–Obama is even more liberal than she is–but of all women who could possibly be put into the office of Vice President of the United States, Claire McCaskill should be very near the bottom of the list.
I have corresponded with Senator McCaskill’s office on several issues and she has consistently taken EXACTLY the wrong stance on every issue. She supports gun control, opposed the surge, and voted in favor of the pork-laden Omnibus Spending Bill of 2007.

I will have to google Claire McCaskill, as I have never heard of her at all. Honestly, just thinking about Obama at all makes me feel kind of sick…
There’s not much to find out, honestly. She’s a liberal Democrat who somehow got elected to represent Missouri in the U. S. Senate.
