So, two days ago some miners were trapped underground in Utah. The Fox reporter covering the incident said that a 2-inch hole was being drilled down to them–adding that, of course, it would not be used to extract them.

How did that even become a consideration? Can you picture the first miner being pulled though the 2″ opening, and all of the rest jumping back and yelling, “WAIT A MINUTE! That didn’t work AT ALL!”
